Windows and doors are indeed crucial elements in the structural integrity and energy efficiency of buildings. They not only provide security and protect against the elements but also significantly influence the thermal comfort within our living and working spaces.
Properly designed and installed windows and doors can reduce energy consumption by minimizing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, leading to a more sustainable and cost-effective environment.
In collaboration with esteemed contractors, we install windows and doors selected by our customers.

You can check if your windows or doors are leaking by lighting an incense stick and then holding the incense stick 2-4 inches from the frame and then slowly moving it around the entire frame. If the smoke from the incense gets sucked outward, or blows inward, that is an indication that your window or door is leaking. If you notice a cold or hot spot near your window or door or feel air flowing through the frame or between panes, this is another indication that it is leaking.
Visually inspecting your windows and glass doors for condensation between panes, damage to the window or door, or bacterial growth (fogginess) between the panes, can indicate your window or door needs replaced.
If you have difficulty opening or closing your window or door it might need to be replaced. Over time, window frames shrink and expand in our Midwest climate and eventually they are no longer able to seal properly. If your windows or doors no longer fit with your style, or you are replacing siding, this is another good time to replace them.
The lifespan of windows and doors varies by type and installation. However, if they are older than 20 years, or if they are of lower quality and older than 10 years, you may want to consider replacement.
